Fluoritab Drops are used for:
Preventing cavities in children older than 6 months of age when the amount of fluoride in the water supply is too low.
Fluoritab Drops are a mineral. It works by strengthening the teeth and decreasing the effects of acid and bacteria on the teeth.
Do NOT use Fluoritab Drops if:
- you are allergic to any ingredient in Fluoritab Drops
- your drinking water has a fluoride content greater than 0.6 parts per million (ppm)
Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.
Before using Fluoritab Drops:
Some medical conditions may interact with Fluoritab Drops. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:
- if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
- if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
- if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances
- if you have joint pain, kidney problems, softening of your bones (osteomalacia, rickets), or stomach or intestinal ulcers
Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Fluoritab Drops. However, no specific interactions with Fluoritab Drops are known at this time.
Ask your health care provider if Fluoritab Drops may interact with other medicines that you take. Check with your health care provider before you start, stop, or change the dose of any medicine.
How to use Fluoritab Drops:
Use Fluoritab Drops as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
- Take Fluoritab Drops by mouth with or without food. Do not eat or drink dairy products within 1 hour before or 2 hours after taking Fluoritab Drops.
- Do not take an antacid that has aluminum, calcium, or magnesium in it for several hours after you take Fluoritab Drops.
- Use the dropper that comes with Fluoritab Drops to measure your dose. Ask your pharmacist for help if you are unsure of how to measure your dose.
- Certain brands of Fluoritab Drops should be mixed in juice or water before you take it. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure if you should mix Fluoritab Drops in juice or water.
- Certain brands of Fluoritab Drops should be taken at bedtime after you brush your teeth unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure when to take Fluoritab Drops.
- If you miss a dose of Fluoritab Drops, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses at once.

Important safety information:
- Do NOT use more than the dose recommended by your doctor or dentist.
- Notify your dentist if your teeth become spotted or stained.
- Fluoritab Drops should not be used in CHILDREN younger than 6 months old; safety and effectiveness in these children have not been confirmed.
- Caution is advised when using Fluoritab Drops in CHILDREN younger than 6 years of age. The appropriate dose of Fluoritab Drops depends on the child's age and the amount of fluoride in the drinking water. Talk with your doctor if you have questions about the appropriate dose for your child or the amount of fluoride in your drinking water.
- PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If you become pregnant while using Fluoritab Drops, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Fluoritab Drops while you are pregnant. It is not known if Fluoritab Drops are found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using Fluoritab Drops, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.
Possible side effects of Fluoritab Drops:
All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. When used in small doses, no COMMON side effects have been reported with Fluoritab Drops. Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue).

If OVERDOSE is suspected:
Contact 1-800-222-1222 (the American Association of Poison Control Centers), your local poison control center, or emergency room immediately. Symptoms may include bloody vomit or vomit that looks like coffee grounds; diarrhea; fast or irregular heartbeat; increased drooling; muscle weakness; nausea; seizures; slow or shallow breathing; sore tongue; stomach pain or cramping; tremor; vomiting.
Proper storage of Fluoritab Drops:
Store Fluoritab Drops at room temperature, between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Fluoritab Drops out of the reach of children and away from pets.
